Mother
Mother
I love you Mother,
We met at my birth
and, again on your last days.
Thank you for life.
You died so I could live.
Initiated into performing a rites of passage.
You were a blessed soul with a hard life so that I could see the corruption of this world.
The sexual abuse to children, the abuse of the system, the abuse of the Indigenous.
Thank you for this wisdom.
I love you Mother.
You are my greatest ancestor.
~ Your baby,
Anita
